Sorcery is a common term used for those things that just seem to come out of thin air. It is true that all of the Disciplines are a form of Sorcery, but there are certain clans that have found a way to make HUMAN magic usable by Kindred.

The most prominent clans with Sorcery are the Tremere and the Assamites. But as the millenia passed, it was found that the Lhiannan, the Gangrel, the Caitiff & Panders, and the Lasombra found a way to incorporate their knowledge into Sorcery, better known as Thaumaturgy. There have been many bloodlines that have come out of these findings... One will have to wait and see as Gehenna progresses.

Two of the Assamite Sorceror Castes were able to infiltrate the clans, much as the Baali did, but not for the same reasons as the Demon-Imps. They infiltrated to learn of the Clan to be better judges of them as well as to gain personal knowledge of the clans themselves. Most of these sorcerors would fall by the end of the second Baali war. The ones that did not would wait for their clansmen, and in many cases - kinsmen, to rise again. There were two paths to rising... To be reborn and awaken in the future, or to attach themselves to another Kindred that would be deemed worthy of Assamite interference and protection. It is unclear yet as to how many of these two Castes are reborn and how many are attached...

The Sorceries we have listed below this page upon the Disciplines page are the ones that we recognize here in The Eternal Night. It is not to be buttheads or control freaks. It is to make things MUCH easier on everyone, including the Storytellers.

The Disciplines have which clan is able to use them and a rough rundown of the ability. We ask that you all read them carefully. The Tremere and Assamite Sorcery pages are very linked as many of their Disciplines are the same, just named differently. Those that are not linked directly to the Tremere or Assamite Thaums have been placed on separate pages.
