In the following pages, we will try to explain Assamite Sorcery, Blood Sorcery and Tremere Thaumaturgy. They are virtually the same.

It seems that everybody under God's green earth sent in a path and it was accepted. Well, as Gehenna hits and the Aftermath begins, and God has wiped out on Earth what she feels to be the scurge, the face of the magical disciplines of the Kindred Changes.

It was not until the 3rd Edition that the Assamites had sorcery, the Tremere were known for such. Most of the Tremere Thaums were deleted because of the lack of use or the lack of need. Some were returned because of the Assamites having the same path with a different name.

[*] on a Path means that the path is a main path for that clan. A main path, or primary path. must be studied FIRST to completion before beginning another path.

Any path that is not listed in Both Tremere and Assamite Thaums is ONLY for the clan it is listed under.

In the clanbook Assamite 3rd edition, it states that if an Assamite sorceror uses a thaum of a different clan (not found within Assamite clan teachings) than it has the following penalties:

1) All costs for "foreign" blood magic paths and rituals are increased by 1/2 (rounded up) for Assamite Sorcerors.

2) All invocations of a "foreign" path requires 1 extra blood point.

3) All invocations of a "foreign" path rituals takes 3 times the amount of normal casting time.

4) All invocations of a "foreign" path rituals takes 1 extra success for any desired results.

In the following paparagraphs, we will attempt to help you understand the mechanics and creation of what we are calling Blood Sorcery. Though you will find in the Thaumaturgy books many names for Sorcery, from Thaumaturgy to Assamite Sorcery to Blood Sorcery to Dur'an'ki to a few other things, Blood Sorcery is a combination of all of those. The history is most assuredly long. So we will attempt to be brief in the description of the creation and necessity of such things.

From within the Assamite Clan, there were several Castes of Sorcerors that perfected their works to combat and learn about the other original clans. One such "family" was known as The Khepri, their name meaning "The Unknown". There were 32 sorcerors whom made up this Caste originally along with several thousand servants. 12 of which were sent out into the other clans to learn about them, their Clan ways and in the end to Diablorize the Clan member that they felt to be the strongest to find the ultimate understanding of them.

As the Assamites had become the judges of the Kindred, they learned much. Upon their passing in the Baali wars, their souls were re-incarnated into children, or placed with another to share a body, or put into Torpor to rise upon the Nights of Judgement. These children slotted by fate to be Embraced by one of the clans, hopefully by the clan of the one that he or she was within, and their plight was seen early in life.

The Khepri were thought to be extinct by all except their servants, whom ultimately lived out their lives and procreated to keep the Caste grounds safe and in tact. It would not be until more than 5 millenia later that they would again see their guardians and family return... just in time for Gehenna. The first return seen was The Father, Abu Khepri... reborn into Infidel skin... but noticeable nonetheless.

{{The Caste of Khepri was less known then other Castes as their numbers remained small and their home remained a mystery. One would need a Supernatural Lore of 5 to know of this family or have had direct contact with them at one point in their history to know anything about them.}}

As the souls began to re-emerge from the depths of the abyss or their fetters, they grew with the ages they were born into. The ones who were born to be re-Embraced gained the unique ability of fully understanding the concepts of magick, both human and kindred. With their Embrace into their respective clans, whether they had magick or not, they mastered the effects of the vitae which flowed in their shells...

Once the soul began to awaken and meld any wrongs that were effecting their bodies, minds or souls... The Souls... not essences.. but Souls gained a unique trait...
