The Khepri

{{The Caste of Khepri was less known then other Castes as their numbers remained small and their home remained a mystery. One would need a Supernatural Lore of 5 to know of this family or have had direct contact with them at one point in their history to know anything about them.}}

The Background story

Nabirye Khepri, daughter of Laksha Khepri, known as the Mischievious One, ending her unlife as a 5th generation, was sent into the Clan Ravnos. She learned many intriguing things as she studied the art of Chimerstry. She learned of their Path of Paradox, though not taking it upon herself, she made it seem as if she did. She found that many of the Ravnos Clan followed the Path of Blood as well. They guarded their Gypsy beginnings with a fervent passion. It grew even to the point that the Ravnos and the Gangrel became bitter enemies and they began to no longer see eye to eye on protecting the Gypsy from the outside clans... Now they included the outsiders as each other.

Nabirye passed in a war that ravage through the lands against the Baali. As the Baali saw the Khepri caste as a threat, they sought out these Assamite infiltrators and began to eliminate them one by one. Nabirye fell in a battle with a Baali infiltrator as she took this one out. It would be millenia before she would emerge again....

In The Bayou, 2003...

Maya (Tsurara) Zayya, a daughter of one of the Leaders of the Human Knife Clan of the Gypsies, was taken one evening by a Ravnos drunk on "bad" blood. The blood was laced with a foreign substance known as Caliph... Something she would much later find out to be a drug needed by Assamite Sorcerors to help fuel their sorcery.

Maya fled to the Americas away from the family that would hunt her for her misfortune and held up on the Bayou of Louisianna. She reaked a bit of Havok with the New Orleans Princes... Theft of items and such until she could no longer safely roam the streets.

It was not until Asim found her in Detroit that she ventured out again. This time she was driven to get somewhere. Her mind was filling with things that she could not possibly know.

She understood Egyptian... Her native language was Hindi. Though she had learned English, Creole and French, this was a shock to her. She heard an angry voice in her mind that seemed to be driving the storms around the New Orleans coast. Her search led her to Detroit... where she had suddenly used water to pass a multitude of miles... A Toreador became enamored with her and as disaster was about to strike, carted her off like a caveman to SouthAmerica to stop her from being destroyed along with the land... Donivan Tauras... vied for her hand with her cousin Asim and her uncle Tau Sefu... and after he agreed to their terms....

That night she became his wife...

"To fight it is futile Mischievious One. You must become one with that which is within you, or you will most assuredly go mad......"

They, even as humans, followed the Vampiric Path of Blood. The beginning of this Bloodline is a 6th generation, lest she be put through the rite of Marduk's throat and taught to re-use her knowledge. They are stronger, yet hold more weaknesses than other clans. They have many abilities, mostly dealing with conniving ways and trickstering. The roots of this bloodline begin with the following 2 clans: The Assamite and The Ravnos.

{{Note: If you have little understanding of this type of Roleplay, start out with a beginning character in one of the two aforementioned clans. Once you have grasped the concepts, then seek those like this one to be ushered in.ST Approval MUST be gained to play a character of this Bloodline.}}

Nickname: Fate-Twisters

Sect: Independent

Appearance: These characters are generally from Middle Eastern or Gypsy decent. One thing they have in common is their ability to be a trickster and understand the concepts of Numinae and Fortunetelling/Bujo. They tend to be loners for most things.

Havens: These can be anywhere and numerous. These Kindred tend to love travel and will have varied locations for havens.

Background: The Kindred of this Bloodline tend to be theives, cutthroats and fortunetellers. They are true to what they believe and they have a strong inner will. They have their own Code of Honor, though few find it honorable. They do not break their word once given, unless the word is broken by the other party, though one must make sure that he or she receives the 'proper word' from the Ravnos in question.

Character Creation: These Kindred favor Attributes in the following, but not always: Mental, Social, then Physical. Talents and Skills are favored equally, but normally they seek knowledge in the areas of clan and area/city knowledges the most. Their nature is usually Judgemental and their demeanor will be be jester-like, especially for males, and conniving for females.

Clan Disciplines: Animalism, Chimerstry, Blood Sorcery**

{{**Blood Sorcery includes all Tremere Thaumaturgy and all Assamite Sorcery, since they are virtually the same.}}

Weaknesses: These Kindred are addicted to a vice. They also have the Assamite weakness of Easily addicted to vitae. They are Addicted to Caliph. They also have Permanent Fangs.

Strengths: These Bloodlines all have the merits "Indominable Soul" and "Blessed". They also have the Discipline "Blood Sorcery" since the progenitor's soul was reborn.

Organization: These Kindred are very close knit, unlike the Clans from which this bloodline hailed. They have tend to run in small groups of two or three. This will help them as they begin to grow. There is no organization to this clan, for no Ravnos would trust another to keep his word. However, when two or more Ravnos meet somewhere, they will likely put on a great show of camaraderie, pledging each other their undying loyalty - a vow that is quickly forgotten.

Gaining Clan Prestige: The best way to gain the respect of other Ravnos is to pull off wonderful cons, the tales of which are then retold for years to come. Getting a prince to trade her favorite vessel for a worthless knickknack or stealing a Methuselah's coffin from his haven would earn a Ravnos a great deal of esteem within the clan. The more souvenirs a character can collect from his exploits, the better; it is considered bad taste to talk about oneself unless one has something to show ( the idea is to talk about the object not oneself). This is true with many of those from this Bloodline. Though there will most likely not be a large number of them, they will not just be.... the best. They will have to earn their 'names' on their own.

Bloodlines: There are no other bloodlines that this line has sired. As this is a new bloodline, it is small and well grouped together.

Quote: " You wonder what Fate holds for you. Let me tell you. But it is you who need to decide if I am telling you the truth as I see it or as the 'Gods and Goddesses' see it."

Note: This is a work in progress
