The Khepri

The Background story

Amoxtli was born one of the sons of Tau Sefu. His name so different from his brothers, sisters and cousins for the fact that he was the only one not born in Egypt. Born of an Incan mother, he was raised to be a great warrior in his tribe as well as a great father to his children and husband to his wife. He was one of the more loving and forgiving of his tribesmen. It was when there was a plague that hit his tribe that his mother contacted Tau Sefu and Amoxtli was taken after experiencing the death of his wife and children. He was rather old, especially for a warrior, near the age of 33 years when he came close to losing his life to the plague that ravaged the village. He was embraced by his father and Amoxtli started a new life. For many years he was not as social as his father's family, but finally, the pain of loss dulled enough that Amoxtli's true soul came forth and he again sought to father children. Amoxtli, though, only took a wife, 5 years before the prophecied death of the family, a Sand Fae heiress who would not give into his passions. They had quite a few beautiful children, and only a few of them have survived even today.

Up through the Apocalypse.... 2004

Amoxtli was originally reborn in a young man in the early 1920s named Viggo Morierty. Viggo fell into a bad way when his life too went south because of disease and many of his family died of either polio or small pox. Viggo had been outrageously deformed having originally been born with Elephant Man Syndrome, growing to look very much like the Hunchback of Notre Dame. It was no wonder why the sewer dwellers took a liking to the young man from early on. Near his 20th year, Viggo having been raised in a Catholic Church in Boston, Massachussetts, found a pathway under the church into the sewers. The place seemed to be alive more than with rats... Viggo, still very much a child mentally, was curious. He remembered going down there after eating lunch, but he did not remember where he was for at least two weeks after and somehow he ended up in Washington, D.C.

Now this was not a feat of his own doing, but that of his sire's and broodmates. His disease no longer separated him from others. Viggo felt very much at home with his new surroundings. His ability to snoop out information and act how extremely social and intelligent as he had always wanted to be was afforded by his new life: Vampire. Sure there were still those that treated him with disdain, but it no longer bothered him. He could lay waste to so much more than just the shells of these men and women that shrugged him off than ever. Viggo worked his way up to being Archon of the D. C. area and was actually feared, even for his young age, and it wasn't only because his sire was feared... Viggo was a quick learner, a superb intelligence gatherer, and an extremely good pummeler, that put some of his rabble rouser friends to shame.

Unfortunately, it took a nuclear bomb to stop the awakening that should have happened in Viggo, the very night was to awaken. The soul that had been born in him woke up suddenly and began to call upon interference as Viggo's lips began to speak in old Incan language, which Viggo had never learned, only knowing Russian, German and English, all his life. About 10 seconds before the Nuclear bomb went off in D. C. the broodmates saw a strange flash happen around Viggo's body... Amoxtli's essence left. Then the explosion, that catapulted him toward New Orleans, toward another one much more able to handle Amoxtli's soul: Karlitis Ignazio Porteur, Kip for short.

Kip had known the one Abu, Amoxtli's uncle, had awakened within. It was quiet a shock when Amoxtli attached himself to the poor information gatherer and Kip thought he was more going out of his mind from all that the Apocalypse was throwing at them. It was another 10 days before Kip finally gave up and spoke about it to Abu and Tau... As he kept being pressed to by Amoxtli. It took more coaxing for him to allow Amoxtli to take over his body, but finally Kip gave in and alot of all their questions were answered, especially since all the others have been reborn and not attached as the ritual had intended to be. Kip still had many secrets that not even Abu, before or after his awakening, had found out and there are still many that haven't even been spoken to the woman that Kip and Amoxtli both have claimed as wife.

But what will be the most shocking is that one the last day of the Apocalypse, as the trumpet sounds, Kip and Amoxtli will be granted a melding. They will no longer be two sharing the same body: They will be one, as the prophecy stated.

Appearance: Like those they hail from, the appearance of the Tontettu Lai is quite displeasurable. They can receive no more than 4 out of 10 on appearance.

Havens: They like dark places, sometimes very smelly ones like sewers, though their havens within such areas are not usually messy. They are very organized.

Background: Tontettu Lai can be of any background, though usually they are those that seek information or investigate things very well. The Tontettu Lai do not normally pick from the most beautiful of the worldly faces, nor the most known.

Character Creation: These Kindred favor Attributes in the following, but not always: Mental, Physical, then Social. Knowledges and Skills are favored equally, but normally they seek knowledge in the areas of clan and area/city knowledges as well as sciences the most. Their nature is usually Judgmental and their demeanor will domineering, especially for the males..

Clan Disciplines: Blood Sorcery**, Obfuscate, and Potence or Animalism (Determined on the creation and life's/unlife's purpose)

{{**Blood Sorcery includes all Tremere Thaumaturgy and all Assamite Sorcery, since they are virtually the same. In the Nu'man bloodlines, this also includes Gangrel Runic Sorcery.}}

Weaknesses: They also have the Assamite weakness of Easily addicted to vitae, and are Addicted to Caliph. They also have Permanent Fangs. They cannot have an appearance greater than 4.

Strengths: These Bloodlines all have the merits "Indomitable Soul" and "Blessed". They also have the Discipline "Blood Sorcery" since the progenitor's soul was reborn and has regained or retained the knowledge.

Organization: The Tontettu Lai would be very close knit, living in small packs. The younger Tontettu Lai would have to prove high ability to survive on their own through a series of tests before they are allowed to branch off on their own.

Bloodlines: There are no other bloodlines that this line has sired. As this is a new bloodline, it is small and well grouped together.
